"Well, talking someone out of spending their money where it will be a waste is a great gun shop owner, in my opinion. He is putting his knowledge to the customer benefit rather than his own profits.
Brian, the "hotshot" owner has saved me thousands by showing me a better /smarter way to do things in this complex gun world we live in. He knows the regulations frontwards and backwards and is a thinking man creating solutions to problems that are not just knee jerk reactions most gun shops have. I once heard him tell a potential consignor that he would not list his gun at a higher price "because it wasn't fair to his customers" even though the gun would have easily brought an extra $200 and be instantly sold due to the scarcity of guns right now. He would have made an extra $50 but took the high road.
